Reasonable adjustments are small and simple changes that can help people with a learning disability to be treated equally. People with a learning disability also have a right under the law to ask for reasonable adjustments when getting any form of healthcare.
Our team leaders recently attended a meeting with the NHS Liaison Nurses in Surrey where they were able to share important information and tips on how best to support people with learning disabilities. They kindly shared a brilliant video on understanding reasonable adjustments, please give it a watch:
We also have an Easy-read poster about reasonable adjustments. If you'd like to check it out, please click here.
